Bollywood Dance is the dance-form used in the Indian films. It is a mixture of numerous styles. These styles include belly-dancing, Kathak dance, Indian folk, and Modern Jazz. The suite of examinations has seven grades; Preparatory, Primary and Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
The Choreography programme of study enables candidates to develop their creative and artistic skills whilst creating a dance piece which is performed to an examiner. The suite of examinations has six grades; Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Diploma.
Freestyle Dance has evolved and developed from the general public wanting to dance in a social and uninhabited way to popular music of the time. It has seen a huge increase in popularity since the seventies thanks to media interest in films such as Saturday Night Fever, music channels, pop videos and the development of music styles over the last four decades. The suite of examinations has seven grades; Preparatory, Primary and Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Modelling enables candidates to develop their confidence, stance and posture. It gives them an insight to catwalk, model poses and interview skills. The suite of examinations has seven grades; Preparatory, Primary and Grades 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
National Dance enables candidates to learn about traditions and dance styles from around the world. They study dances from different countries and complete a project at each level. The suite of examinations has eight different levels commencing at Region 1 through to Region 8.
The BTDA Speech and Drama Programme of Study enables candidates to gain confidence and skills in performing and acting.
