BTDA Registered Teacher

The British Theatre Dance Association Registers its Dance Teachers on completion of the required teaching and technical qualifications.

Registration entitles teachers to prepare and enter candidates for BTDA/GQAL examinations as listed on their Registration Certificate, this should be made available for all to see. If not then don't hesitate to ask.

Once registered, Registered Teachers are required to provide the following information every two years to remain active:

• A DBS Certificate or Update service permission which has been carried out within the last two years.
• A valid first aid certificate
• Evidence of regular attendance at CPD Events
• Evidence of successful examination entries

These requirements ensure that teachers remain up to date in their working practices.
