Regulated qualifications are offered through the awarding arm of the British Theatre Dance Association, the ‘Graded Qualifications Alliance’ (GQAL).

What We Offer

We offer five suites of qualifications that are regulated, these are as follows:


GENERAL GRADED EXAMINATIONS

Grades 1 through to 8 in the following disciplines:

Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap, Greek, Lyrical and Acrobatic

General Graded Examinations In Contemporary Dance

Grades 1 through to 8.

General Graded Examinations in Musical Theatre

Grades 1 through to 8 in the following categories:

Solo, Duet and Group

VOCATIONAL GRADED EXAMINATIONS

Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2 and Professional Development in the following disciplines:

TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications are part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework and are listed on the Ofqual website, some of the General Grades and Vocational Grades also attract UCAS points, see the table below:
