EXAMINATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A strongly rhythmical dance form that draws on music from many traditions. This discipline places an emphasis on the mastery of using the feet as a percussive instrument, on the response to rhythm, and on interpretation and expression. As a form it requires an understanding of beat, time signatures and musical expression as well as high levels of co-ordination, concentration and stamina.

Lower Graded Examinations are the first step of the exam structure and introduce candidates to the examination process.

This suite of exams has three grades:

  • Pre-Preparatory
  • Preparatory
  • Primary

The General Graded Examinations are validated by GQAL and based on BTDA programmes. These qualifications are regulated by the Regulatory Authorities.

  • Grade 3

  • Grade 6
  • Grade 7
  • Grade 8
